Mormonism Research Ministry was founded in 1979 by Bill McKeever, who still guides this 501(c)3 Christian parachurch organization. Here are 7 reasons why you might want to consider a tax deductible gift to this ministry.
Reason #1: MRM’s internet site reaches the world with information showing distinctions between Mormonism and biblical Christianity.
Our website, which went through a complete remodel in 2025, began in 1995 and has grown over the years. You can find it at mrm.org. People are coming onto the site in record numbers to find out information to help them understand Mormonism from an Evangelical Christian worldview.
Reason #2: MRM’s podcast Viewpoint on Mormonism is heard on six different radio stations and is archived on the website.
MRM began Viewpoint on Mormonism in July 2011 and, since that time, we have aired more than 3,500 broadcasts. The show airs five days a week, rain or shine, on different stations in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, California, and Hawaii. You can see those stations and the newest shows by visiting mrm.org/podcast. We also have an archive site with most of our podcasts–visit it by going to https://mrm.org/viewpoint-on-mormonism-catalog.
Reason #3: MRM does evangelism throughout the United States.
During the spring/summer/fall months, members of MRM’s team do weekly evangelism outreaches in Provo and Salt Lake City. In addition, we visit LDS temple open houses throughout the country. From April -October 2027, we plan to organize a major outreach at the Salt Lake Temple open house, which is in our backyard!
Reason #4: MRM is a resource for the local churches.
Besides speaking at churches in Utah, we have made resources available at the Utah Christian Resource Center for pastors to refer their parishoners. As a para-church organization, we do not “compete” with the local churches but encourage people to become active in the local churches. We host a website that will help people find a church in Utah. Visit UtahChurches.com for more information.
Reason #5: MRM runs the Utah Christian Research Center.
In November 2023, MRM started the Utah Christian Research Center based in Draper, UT. We own the entire first floor of a two-story commercial building and have a Bible museum and other exhibits available as well as a research library and a bookstore (with Bibles and other apologetic materials for sale). This addition has extended our reach and we are regularly talking with Latter-day Saints or those who have left, to encourage them to seek a relationship with the true Jesus of the Bible. Reason #6: MRM puts out materials to help people better understand the differences between Mormonism and Christianity while directing them to the Bible.
In 2022, Eric Johnson authored Introducing Christianity to Mormons (Harvest House, 2022), specifically meant to help Christians provide accurate information about Christianity to those who have left (or who are thinking about leaving) Mormonism. MRM has several other books also available, including Mormonism 101 (Baker, 2015), Answering Mormons’ Questions (Kregel, 2013), and Sharing the Good News with Mormons (Harvest House, 2018). Bradley Campbell runs God Loves Mormons, which has a varity of short educational/challenging videos with more than 10,000 subscribers. Subscribe today!
Reason #7: MRM is made up of a team committed to letting the world know that Jesus is the Savior and it’s possible to know God in a personal way.
Bill and Tammy McKeever, Eric Johnson, Sharon Lindbloom, Aaron Shafovaloff and Bradley Campbell make up the MRM team. We have new and exciting ideas for the future as well as we attempt to glorify our Savior.
Won’t you consider financially supporting the work through MRM. We cannot do what we do without you. Visit mrm.org/supporting-mrm. Thank you for your prayers and financial support.
