Mormonism Research Ministry was founded in 1979 by Bill McKeever, who still guides this 501(c)3 Christian parachurch organization. Here are 7 reasons why you might want to consider a tax deductible gift to this ministry:

Reason #1: MRM’s internet site reaches the world with information showing distinctions between Mormonism and biblical Christianity.

Our website mrm.org began in 1995 and has grown over the years. In April and May 2022, there was a daily average of 34,000 unique hits with 22,000 visitors. From November 23-December 23, 2022, the site averaged 48,000 unique hits with 32,000 visitors. This is a 30% increase! And it’s double from what we were getting just two years ago. People are coming onto the site in record numbers to find out important information. Many people have been helped over the years. We looked for increased visits in the future.

Reason #2: MRM’s podcast Viewpoint on Mormonism is heard on six different radio stations and is archived on the website.

MRM began Viewpoint on Mormonism in July 2011 and we have aired more than 3,000 broadcasts. It is available five days a week on six different stations in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, California, and Hawaii. Reason #3: MRM does evangelism throughout the United States.

During the spring/summer/fall months, members of MRM’s team do weekly evangelism outreaches in Provo and Salt Lake City. In addition, we plan to visit several LDS temple open house events, Lord willing, in 2023 to do evangelism in these local communities.

Reason #4: MRM speaks on the topic of Mormonism at local churches.

Reason #5: MRM meets with folks who are considering leaving Mormonism.

We regularly meet with those who are/have been Latter-day Saints and help them walk through their journey while directing them to a personal relationship with Jesus.

Reason #6: MRM puts out materials to help people better understand the differences between Mormonism and Christianity while directing them to the Bible.

In 2022, Eric Johnson authored Introducing Christianity to Mormons (Harvest House, 2022), specifically meant to help Christians provide accurate information about Christianity to those who have left (or who are thinking about leaving) Mormonism. MRM has several other books also available, including Mormonism 101 (Baker, 2015), Answering Mormons’ Questions (Kregel, 2013), and Sharing the Good News with Mormons (Harvest House, 2018).

Reason #7: MRM is made of a team committed to letting the world know that Jesus is the Savior and it’s possible to know God in a personal way.
